Bertram Kraft, MD

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Kraft and his dedicated staff at Total Eye Care are committed to providing individualized eye care of the highest quality to patients in the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Kraft stands behind his surgical results. He conducts his own preoperative exams and is with each patient at every stage of the treatment process. He believes that each patient should be treated specially and as an individual.

To this end he is committed to conducting an in-depth, candid dialog with each patient to review their expectations and visual needs - and describe any recommended procedure in complete detail before treatment.

You can feel confident that by choosing Dr. Kraft you have chosen a physician skilled in the latest technologies and procedures to provide eye care at the highest level. In short, you have chosen wisely.

MY PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY

All patients are personally seen by me. After a thorough eye exam, I discuss the findings with specific attention to the following: cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, high blood pressure, dry eyes and allergies. I take an individualized approach to each patient, keeping in mind their age, visual needs, and expectations. I talk to my patients about their general overall health, with particular focus on actual or potential eye problems. If a patient expresses concerns about a family history of a specific eye disease, we thoroughly discuss that as well. I engage patients in a lifestyle discussion with special emphasis on work, sports and other activities. I then make recommendations appropriate to the patient’s needs and prescription on the best optical correction: whether glasses, contact lenses or surgery involving LASIK or intraocular implants.
