DR. AGNIESZKA NAGPAL, M.D.​

Dr. Agnieszka Nagpal is a Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in Uveitis. She treats many common eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, and is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory and infectious diseases of the eye.

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Nagpal attended Barnard College in New York, majoring in both Political Science and Pre-Medicine and graduating with honors. After working at the Soros Foundation in New York on international health programs for several years, Dr. Nagpal went on to attend medical school at the State University of New York at Stonybrook. She then completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York followed by ophthalmology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Nagpal then moved to the west coast to subspecialize in Uveitis at the Proctor Foundation at the University of California in San Francisco. She stayed in California for 10 years working in private practice and at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Nagpal has returned to her hometown of Chicago to be closer to her family. Her guiding tenet is to provide the best care possible to each patient and to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family.

Dr. Nagpal’s research on uveitis and cornea has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at ophthalmology conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Uveitis Society.

In her spare time, Dr. Nagpal enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking, and hiking.
